"I can succeed as a Risk and Audit Senior Analyst at Capital Group." Global Risk Management - Risk and Audit (GRM R&A) is a critical function of the Capital Group (CG) which assists business areas in identifying and evaluating their key risks and controls and, where appropriate, recommending enhancements to their controls. As a GRM R&A Analyst, you will provide valuable risk management expertise for internal controls related to CG's core operational business functions. This includes demonstrating in-depth knowledge of relevant business areas, working together with a team of associates responsible for a variety of risk management and audit-related activities, all intended on providing visibility to identified risks and opportunities to strengthen the control environment. Lead components of and/or perform operational event management to enable prompt event resolution, timely reporting of exceptions, and adequate identification of control enhancements Perform activities supporting periodic operational exception review and certifications in compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act Prepare and, in some cases, participate in presentations to executive management, committees, and other stakeholders to discuss exception trend analysis and identified risks and opportunities to strengthen the control environment Provide risk management subject matter expertise in response to external requests for information from existing or prospective clients and other financial intermediaries Support organizational risk oversight and governance through coordination of the Risk Oversight Committees (ROCs) in partnership with GRM senior management Facilitate risk directed discussions with business areas (including with senior management) in order to identify key risks and controls Perform other risk and audit activities, which may include SOC 1 audit coordination, vendor risk assessments, business area risk assessments, internal audit assessments, and other special projects as needed Perform all assigned activities from start to finish including contributing to project plans, aligning around key milestones, and keeping management abreast of progress and challenges "I am the person Capital Group is looking for." Strong knowledge of risk management and/or internal control techniques including of an asset manager's core operational business and/or technology functions Strong written and oral communication skills including with larger groups and senior business leaders Strong planning, organization, and project management skills Intellectual curiosity and analytical skills in areas of high complexity Ability to work independently and demonstrate sound judgment in resolving matters of high complexity Ability to prioritize assigned work and complete activities in a timely manner Ability to identify and interpret meaningful information by interrogating large amounts of data (i.e., data analytics experience) Southern California Base Salary Range: $88,022 - $140,835 Southern California Base Salary Range: $88,022-$140,835 In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
