Corporate Development Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst

TheCorporate Development M&A Analystwill work closely with the Corporate Development team to support the growth of Company's footprint both domestically and internationally. You will have the opportunity to be involved in the execution of the M&A process, from deal sourcing to closure. You will be responsible for complex financial modeling and economic evaluation, internal and external presentations supporting project development, project due diligence along with general internal support functions. You will provide company decision makers with in-depth analyses of acquisition targets. You will assume a support role, under the supervision of the Director of Corporate Development, for an end-to-end (go-to-market target identification, valuation, and due diligence to close) M&A transaction process within a multifunctional team.

The ideal candidate must possess strong communication skills and have the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously in a collaborative fast-paced environment. Relevant experience would entail prior investment banking, private equity, or financial analysis experience preferably with a Fintech or financial services business.

What you will do:

Perform market research and analysis, including analysis of key business drivers and market, competition and industry risk and opportunity analysis

Develop detailed economic models specific to acquisition opportunities

Synthesize research to be used in modeling, competitive analysis, industry analysis, negotiation support and various other applications

Prepare detailed financial models, including scenario analysis

Prepare valuation analysis using range of valuation techniques, including discounted cash flow analysis, comparable market multiples and precedent transaction analysis

Assist in due diligence process

What we need from you:

Undergraduate degree

2 - 4 years of work experience in a related field

An ability to work well under pressure with multiple competing deadlines, while maintaining attention to detail.

Produce clear, well-formatted presentations/reports in a concise, yet meaningful manner for various audiences

Strong computer (specifically Excel and PowerPoint) and financial modeling skills

Excellent analytical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills

Working knowledge of GAAP and Finance and Accounting concepts and principles as it relates to M&A transactions

Strong written and verbal communication/presentation skills

Ability to develop relationships and liaison with SEI colleagues and team members to achieve premium outcomes.

What we would like from you:

Ideally a professional designation, such as a CPA, MBA, CFA or progress towards completion of these designations

Familiarity with key corporate development databases and research tools (e.g., InterAction, Foundation, Capital IQ, Pitchbook, MonitorSuite, LexMachina, Bloomberg, Mergemarket, etc.) a plus.
