HX5 is currently seeking a Contracts Administrator to join our team on-site in Fort Walton Beach, Florida in support of the contracts department.

Summary

This position is responsible for the administration of contracts and subcontracts. Performs a variety of complex tasks regarding contract execution. Regularly communicates with government contracting officers and contractor personnel. Advises internal departments regarding contract requirements. Position prepares contract documentation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This position includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.



  • Manages contract activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and execution in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Communicates and negotiates with persons inside and outside HX5 involving explanation and interpretation of information, positions, policies and ideas, to include senior level management personnel of USG, and industry.
  • Research contract issues and monitors contract performance versus contract requirements.
  • The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills and maintain frequent contact and favorable relationships with all levels of personnel within HX5, as well as industry peers and customer representatives.

  • Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the terms and conditions appropriate for different contract types Firm fixed Price, Cost Plus Fixed Fee, Cost plus incentive fee, Time & Material (FFP, CPFF, CPIF, T&M, etc.) and their proper use
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with government contracts
  • Services contract administration experience
  • Experience performing with a significant amount of autonomy and exercising good judgment in determining objectives and approaches to assignments
  • Experience providing guidance to all levels of management on contractual rights and obligations, risk avoidance and mitigation, strategy, and problem solving
  • Strong organization skills and high attention to detail


Education and Experience



  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • At least three (3) years of government contracting, operations, program management, or industry experience.
  • DoD specialized acquisitions experience helpful.
  • Costpoint experience a plus
  • Desired: experience with cost plus service contracts


Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret government contracts, federal clauses, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.

Travel

This position does not require travel.

Clearance

This position does not require a security clearance.
