LANGUAGE ASSISTANT

Summary:

The Language Assistant is responsible for meeting with therapists, case managers, and/or social workers to facilitate communication with clients, care givers, family members and/or significant others.

The Language Assistant is an energetic self-starter who is able to function comfortably in a team environment or independently and relates well to clients, co-workers, therapists and office management. This position requires flexibility and the ability to manage time efficiently.

Requirements:

• Less than a College Degree. Must be able to pass verbal and written translation test.
• Experience working with children, caregivers and/or families preferred.
• Experience with verbal and written translation of English to Spanish and Spanish to English preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish Required (verbal and written skillset).
• Must have a current valid California driver's license and current automobile insurance. Must have and maintain a clean driving record acceptable to the organization's insurance company. Must have immediate access to his or her vehicle during work hours.

Position Location: North Hills, CA

Salary Range: $16.50 up to $21.83 per hour

Additional $2.00 per hour bilingual Spanish differential.
