As a Lead Solution Architect on our team, you'll translate your client's IT needs and future goals into a plan by crafting architecture products and design specifications.Through your leadership, we'll help transform the way federal clientsuse technology, including cloud migration, integrating advanced technology, and modernizing legacy systems.What do you do next in a career where you've reached this level? You mentor the next set of developers to help them grow into tomorrow's solutions architects. As a technical leader, you'll shape the digital solutions business and identify opportunities for growth.This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely.

You Have:

  • 12+ years of experience with solution architecture, particularly in software integration, SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS implementation, and designing and implementing development, test, and production environments
  • 12+ years of experience with leading system architecture and engineering involving the integration of COTS, GOTS, and FOSS software solutions, cloud, infrastructure, data architecture, and cybersecurity
  • 12+ years of experience in working with business-area SMEs to define and understand business needs, and to translate these needs into a system design resulting in a successful solution
  • 5+ years of experience with software development using languages, including Java, database development using RDBMS or NoSQL databases, and the full SDLC process, including Agile practices and tools, such as JIRA or GIT
  • 5+ years of experience with engineering efforts working to design and implement full-scale integration between partnering systems
  • 4+ years of experience with providing systems engineering support to Agile software development effort, including new development and O&M support for applications
  • Knowledge of Architectural Modeling, Data Modeling, Software Infrastructure, IT standards, Platform Architecture, Project Management, Tactical Planning, Risk Management, Software Product Design, Problem-Solving, Effectiveness measurement, IT Procedures, Strategic Planning, Software Architecture, IT Policies, or Cloud technologies, including AWS
  • Ability to develop architecture diagrams, presentations, technical proposals, analysis of alternatives, documentation, and detailed system documentation, including system diagrams
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with DevOps methods and tools
  • Experience with development methodologies, including COTS analysis and selection
  • Experience with designing cloud-ready, independent applications and systems using open-source products
  • Experience with applying technology integration solutions and trends, including AI/ML, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and FedRAMP and regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge of data architecture, database design, and interface development
  • Knowledge of certification and accreditation processes for enterprise government solutions
  • Master's degree
  • AWS or Azure Certified Solutions Architect or Certified Solutions Developer Certification

Salary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements. The proposed salary range for this position is outlined below.

Colorado: $100,900 - $210,700 (annualized USD)

New York (including New York City): $107,200 - $257,500 (annualized USD)
