Primary Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Development of processes using SAS programing code to analyze, adjust, and report on various data components
• Development of innovative approaches for continued improvement in efficiency and effectiveness
• Testing implementation of new businesses processes and data stores
• Detailed analysis of data issues/variances
• Review of program logs and debugging of code issues
• Documentation and maintenance of new and existing processes
• Completion of various system configuration tasks
• Ad-hoc data pulls and analysis
• Serve as a resource to others
• Assist with tasks that support month end close

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with coursework in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience.
• 1.5+ years of professional work experience
• Coursework or experience with query/database development
• Intermediate or higher level experience in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to anticipate customer needs and proactively develop solutions to meet them
• Excellent analytical skills and demonstrated ability to enhance processes
• Track record of delivering high quality results
• Demonstrated experience in critical thinking and intellectual curiosity with the ability resolve issues/questions
• Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills with attention to detail
• Ability to internalize, interpret and document complex scenarios clearly and concisely

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience or coursework with SAS, SQL, VBA or other programming languages
• Experience within a complex working environment with various hierarchical commitments
• Exposure to PeopleSoft or Essbase/Smartview
• Work is self-directed and not prescribed
• Works with less structured, more complex issues
• Assess and interpret customer needs and requirements
• Identifies solutions to non-standard requests and problems
• Solves moderately complex problems and/or conducts moderately complex analyses

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $54,400 to $97,000. The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada residents is $60,000 to $106,700. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
