Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

BASIC PURPOSE: Perform light maintenance, renovations and repairs on buildings and furniture systems in a corporate headquarters setting. Handle special job-related requests/projects as assigned.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide maintenance and repair services on systems furniture and office furniture.

Provide maintenance, installation and repair of kitchen and office equipment.

Hanging signage, paintings /whiteboards.

Handle general building maintenance and repairs (such as patch and paint work).

Perform conference room and event set ups.

Maintain a safe and workable environment for all building users.

Assist when needed with mail distribution.

Assist with repair of furniture at corporate housing as needed.

Demonstrate awareness of general safety policies, procedures, and basic OSHA regulations; includes ability to identify and report safety hazards, and the ability to encourage others to work safely.

Perform basic custodial duties as needed.

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 1-2 years' experience in general maintenance.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Ability to think and reason at work without being urged; skill and ability in taking the lead in forwarding new ideas or work methods. Ability to work productively and effectively in a non-traditional facility setting. Use a systematic and effective approach in analyzing information to find solutions to various challenges. Ability to change or adapt work practices, priorities, or procedures, or to reschedule activities in response to changing conditions or multiple work demands. Ability to operate a forklift or willingness to be certified. Clean, valid, and current drivers license required. Must be able to drive company vehicles when required. Openness to additional certifications based on projected company growth. Ability to work well with others in a group, cooperate with others, offer to help when needed, and foster a team climate within the group where members are committed to a common goal. Ability to work efficiently and with minimal supervision to provide and maintain a pleasant and safe working environment for all our customers is essential. Qualified candidates must have prior relevant experience and good communication skills.

Position entails frequent bending, climbing, stooping, and lifting up to 75 lbs. Requires standing for extended periods of time. Ability to work overtime when responding to priority or emergency situations. Rotating on-call duty may be assigned.
