GEICO Technology Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Engineer to help develop and deliver automated solutions that support the availability, scalability, performance, and compliance of our multi-cloud hosted applications. The successful candidate will demonstrate their ability to think strategically and be innovative while working collaboratively with various teams in an agile environment to design creative solutions to complex problems. The ideal candidate should have experience with DevOps practice and must have strong desire to deliver the best customer experiences using modern architectures, tools, and technologies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 5+ years of experience supporting complex business applications in a large enterprise environment
  • Proficient in Troubleshooting and problem solving.
  • Expert in at least one common scripting language (PowerShell, Python, etc.) for administration and automation
  • Experience using monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Aternity, Splunk, App-Insight and Quantum Metrics.
  • Experience building advanced Log Analytics/App Insight and Splunkquery for analysis, reports, and performance monitoring.
  • Experience implementing automated solutions for both day-to-day toil reduction and larger business/process problems
  • Exposure to .NET/C# application development and support is a plus
  • Knowledge of DevOps principles and comfortable working in Agile environment
  • Working knowledge of networking concepts (DNS/DHCP/Firewalls/Sub-netting, etc.)
  • Ability to adapt to a quickly changing environment and interact with a broad customer base with diverse needs and functional responsibilities.
  • Ability to support a 24x7 On-Call rotation
  • Team player with a desire to learn and grow
  • Strong critical thinking skills with a desire to find solutions to difficult problems
  • Ability to work independently and deliver consistent results without supervision
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written
  • Enjoy collaboration, embrace new ideas, and have fun in the process

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working as SRE, DevOps, CM or Knowledge of both Development and Operations is a plus.
  • Expertise with at least two of the following monitoring tools: Dynatrace, Aternity App-Insight, Splunk or Quantum metrics
  • Expertise in developing application performance monitoring (APM) solutions using advanced observability practice.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of Microsoft Azure cloud platform and concepts
  • Experienced in building and maintaining cloud environments, utilizing IaaS, Pass, and SaaS Cloud Service model in Microsoft Azure.
  • Experienced in PowerShell scripting, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics.
  • Experience with .NET development supporting .NET applications in a large enterprise in an Agile environment
  • Experience using Azure DevOps (ADO)platform to create and maintain CICD pipelines
  • Good knowledge of database technology and operation is a plus
  • Experience debugging application related issues
  • Experience performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for application and infrastructure related issues
  • Experience supporting both application and server infrastructure hosted in the cloud
  • Experience with IIS configuration, support, and troubleshooting
  • Cloud Certifications (AWS and Microsoft Azure preferred); Splunk Certifications
  • Grade will be assigned commensurate with experience and skills of selected candidate.

Annual Salary

$72,000.00 - $138,000.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
