Job Description
Repairs and /or refurbishes product for return to customer or stock in accordance with department requirements in a timely manner. 1.Processes and repairs products in a timely manner with focus on quality. 2.Provides clear and accurate documentation of all repair activities in the Filemaker database. 3.Repairs and tests product to Manufacturing / Engineering specifications. 4.Proactively escalates problems to the appropriate department manager as needed. 5.Accurately transacts inventory items on MSS in accordance to accounting requirements. 6.Communicates with internal and external customers in accordance with the "I am Parker" guidelines. 7.Maintains a clean and neat work area in accordance with 5S requirements. 8.Works in partnership with Manufacturing, Engineering and QC to identify trends and problems with products. EDUCATION: *High school diploma or GED required. EXPERIENCE: *5 years of experience in a manufacturing and / or service working environment. SKILLS: *Ability to read and understand Engineering drawings and schematic diagrams. *Understanding of electromechanical functionality and repair. *Technical problem solving skills with ability to accurately isolate root cause. *Takes initiative to make independent decisions with minimal supervision. *Good organizational skills including ability to perform multiple simultaneous repairs. *Takes pride in quality of work and has the desire for continued learning. *Able to work with little-to-no supervision. *Computer skills including MS Office (Excel), Lotus Notes (or equivalent) and ability to learn Parker business systems (such as MSS and Filemaker Pro).
