Staff Research Associate - Genome Editing RRP Operations Full Time 70259BR Job Summary Staff Research Associate II: focusing on genome editing, molecular biology, biochemistry. The ideal candidate will have direct experience using CRISPR systems in cell lines; a proven record in genome editing. Primary duties will include design of custom gene for engineering mammalian cells, engineering mammalian cells using transfection, viral transduction, genome editing, and execution of experiments requiring cell culture with various readouts such as plate-based fluorescence assays and microscopy. Other duties include working with mice, dissecting and collecting tissue, performing in vivo experiments as needed. An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role. For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.
