Software Engineer I (AWS + Full Time Remote)

In this role, you will work as part of a brand-new team within a newly formed organization that will be working on the next generation of green field systems in AWS using microservices and serverless technologies in a DevOps environment. What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

• Owns the development of small to medium features from technical design through completion with some guidance from more experienced team members
• Writes readable, modular, testable, extensible, scalable and observable code
• Stays current with industry best practices, trends and commonly used technologies
• Strives for continuously improving the world around them (processes, solutions, and practices) and being better every day
• Embraces the journey and doesn't sacrifice long term outcomes for short-term results

What are the requirements needed for this position?

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field of study.
• Experience with one or more modern languages such as Python, Typescript, Go, Rust and Java

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP
• Experience developing and designing web services within a microservices architecture
• Experience with continuous delivery, TDD, DevOps and product thinking
• Experience with pair and mob programming

New York and New Jersey Residents Only: The salary range for New York City, NY and Westchester County, NY is $66,470 - $115,680. The salary range for Ithaca, NY is $57,800- $96,400. The salary range for Jersey City, NJ is $69,360 - $115,680.
