DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW UC Legal delivers ethical, timely, efficient and high quality legal services to the University of California's ten campuses, five medical centers, and the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, as well as to the Board of Regents, the President, the Chancellors and other officers of the University. Its services include prosecuting and defending litigation, drafting and negotiating agreements, providing advice, counsel and interpretation of laws, regulations and policies, and assisting with development of effective compliance and risk mitigation strategies to facilitate the University's complex operations. POSITION SUMMARY Reporting to the Director of Legal Business Operations and Technology, the Senior Legal Operations Analyst will leverage their significant experience in the legal industry to ensure positive outcomes. They will be a cornerstone of providing trustworthy reporting and analytics for the Office of the General Counsel leadership team around outside counsel and other legal service provider spend, as well as internal metrics and key performance indicators. They will have a strong point of view on effective ways to leverage the legal service provider ecosystem on behalf of our clients and are comfortable articulating the value propositions of various providers to those who may not have much experience. Applies advanced business process and analysis concepts and organizational objectives to resolve highly complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Selects methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to obtain results. All team members are expected to actively participate in initiatives to promote diversity, equity, and/or inclusion, whether at UC or in the community. Responsibilities

SPECIAL CONDITIONS This position is eligible for a remote work arrangement until April 2023. At that time, the employee may be required to report to work onsite in Oakland, CA on a regular schedule.
