This unique role will engage with a new IoT platform integration for JLG. The IoT platform is responsible for management and automation of the digital twin, deployment of the definition and deployment of the data collection strategy, and ingestion and refinement of the reported data. You will utilize your understanding of the system architecture and will drive key decisions regarding the solution design and execution. Additionally, your knowledge of industry standard DEVOps tools and processes will be key in setting you and our team up for success. An understanding of connected products manufacturing installations and standard ERP systems is necessary to determine, coordinate and execute manufacturing efficiencies. Additionally, you will utilize your understanding of embedded machine software and control system design to ensure proper IoT platform design and launch. This role will also help to determine and document requirements for data visualization that will be derived from an understanding of both internal and external customers business processes and the use of the data.


  • You will be responsible for IoT System architecture requirements definition and design
  • You will have and provide fundamental understanding of software platforms and network technologies
  • You will provide insights and recommendations around IoT platform software and system development
  • You will analyze business needs and document system requirements
  • You will work to define requirements for data visualizations (internal and external consumption)
  • You will work with others to define requirements to deliver ERP system integrations for internal efficiencies
  • You will help develop and implement IoT system & asset cost tracking tools
  • You will work to define requirements for automated system testing
  • You will lead unique system testing efforts for production and post-production
  • You will define and lead the documentation of IoT processes and work standards for production and post-production sustainment
  • You will lead the team responsible for diagnostics, troubleshooting and resolution of issues with the IoT system
  • You will lead the integration effort with the internal IT team for the creation and sustainment of the IoT portal


  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, or a relevant field.
  • One to two (1-2) years of experience in data analytics, business analytics, or a related area.


  • Masters degree in Engineering
  • Experience and schooling focused on IoT systems development and deployment
