The Training Specialist is responsible for designing and executing experiences that enable our training strategy to shape culture. This role will partner closely with business leaders, operations, and the Defense HR leadership team to understand training and curriculum requirements across the business to design and implement solutions that will help develop the workforce of the future.

While keeping the needs of the team member at the center, the Training Specialist will leverage world class technology and support efforts to develop training experiences that are connected to overall business strategy.

YOUR IMPACT

  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with business and HR leaders across the business to ensure training initiatives are aligned with business objectives and segment/functional requirements
  • Research new trends and approaches in the training industry and serve as a champion for a learning culture in the organization
  • Leverage our best-in-class people technology and strategic learning partnerships to engage, develop, and maintain training experiences for team members across the organization to enable the growth of our team members' careers
  • Evaluate impact and return on investment of training initiatives by tracking metrics and utilize data to make the case for additional investments
  • Deliver training through a variety of methods including instructor led, on the job, hands on, and virtual
  • Partner with leaders and segment HR teams to promote development opportunities and improve team member engagement
  • Drive enhancements to training, development tools, and content to ensure alignment with Oshkosh learning standards and core values
  • Support all initiatives intended to support, develop, coach, and accelerate the growth of the organization's leadership and culture
  • Manage projects using effective project management techniques, including managing stakeholders, logistics, budget, and administration
  • Other duties, as assigned

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree or college diploma (or equivalent) in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, Adult Education, or related field
    • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a training and/or instructional design role
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software
    • Ability to travel as required (<10%)

    STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience in a manufacturing setting
    • Knowledge with electrical theory and troubleshooting
    • Experience with material handling equipment
