JOB SUMMARY:

The Associate Finance Analyst will be a team member of the Global Cost Group, which focuses on product costing, costing analysis, inventory valuation, inventory reserves, internal controls, physical inventory planning, cycle counting and special projects

YOUR IMPACT:

The Global cost group works with multiple ERP systems and interacts with JLG team members locally, and locations in EAME and PACRIM. The team is responsible harmonizing costs across ERP systems, supporting queries concerning product costing, reviewing inventory internal controls and special projects that would impact inventory. This position will develop a team member with a solid base understanding of inventory flow, product costing and manufacturing accounting. Activities that the team member will be involved with but not limited by:

  • Analysis machine costing
  • Analysis inventory variances
  • Review of transaction flows
  • Review analysis of virtual warehouses
  • Cycle counting reporting along with supporting local team facilities with cycle counting information
  • Special projects
  • Prepare and complete the monthly-end close process by preparing journal entries and account reconciliation in accordance with Corporate Accounting Policies and Practices manual.
  • Supporting Continuous Improvement Projects
  • Continuous grow knowledge and understanding of Oshkosh People First competencies to engage, develop, and connect team members.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.

STAND OUT QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Familiarity with U.S. accounting regulations.
  • Background in Manufacturing / Cost Accounting or high interest in
  • Knowledge of basic Finance and Accounting concepts.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suites: Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint.
  • Cognos Business Intelligence
  • ERP systems (Mapics, JDE, CSI)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
