Job Summary: Under the direction of a senior faculty member who serves as a mentor for the postdoctoral appointee, The Postdoctoral Fellow provides for an internship and continuation of scholarly activity and research after achieving the Ph.D. or other doctoral degree.

Additional Department Summary: The successful candidate will work with Dr. Chao-Chin Yang in astrophysical research. Specifically, the candidate will conduct computer simulations and/or theoretical analyses to investigate dynamical processes in protoplanetary disks around a young star as well as the implications of these processes to planet formation, observations of protoplanetary disks, and the Solar System.

Required Department Minimum Qualifications: The applicants should have obtained a Ph.D. in astronomy, planetary sciences, or a closely related field by the date of hire.

Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with research experiences in protoplanetary disks, planet formation, and/or theoretical/computational astrophysics are encouraged to apply.
