THE ROLE: Business Development Manager

Job Summary:

Presidio is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our Cisco Services team. This individual's primary responsibility is to grow Presidio's Cisco maintenance business. This involves working both independently and alongside sales teams to identify opportunities, selling Presidio's maintenance approach, gathering install base information, identifying coverage and pricing strategies to show value, building quotes, and entering orders. This position works cooperatively with regional management, account executives, and cross-functional teams to promote and develop the Cisco branded maintenance service practice with the goal of increasing Presidio's maintenance account base.

Travel Requirements:

This position does not require travel.

Job Responsibilities:



  • Become fluent in Presidio's maintenance approach and the ways that it adds value to the maintenance contract experience for customers
  • Build relationships both internally with account teams and externally with Cisco and customers to best position Presidio for new maintenance opportunities
  • Ability to independently generate and forecast opportunity pipeline, make outbound sales calls, and close sales
  • Perform all necessary activities for proposal and quote creation including gathering and reconciling end-user's Cisco install base data, analyzing data, and preparing quotes to best-suite end user needs
  • Work cooperatively with cross-functional teams as necessary to complete required proposals
  • Maintain an understanding of existing pricing and promotions available to provide a competitive quote while also maximizing profitability
  • Participate in OEM meetings; strategize on end-user proposal and pricing relating to renewal
  • Participate in customer facing meetings to present proposals and educate on the benefits of the maintenance programs
  • Work as an interface and subject matter expert between Presidio, Cisco, and clients for the maintenance contracts practice
  • Prepare, process, and track orders to completion utilizing internal tools
  • Upon deal closure, BDM will communicate ongoing requirements and hand-off the account to its assigned Services Specialist, who will manage the customer's maintenance contracts going forward


Required Skills:



  • At least 5 years' experience with Cisco Maintenance Contracts
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work both independently and cooperatively in team setting
  • Flexibility for occasional onsite travel for internal/external meetings


Education:



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience.
