The Opportunity:

Everyone is trying to "harness the cloud," but not everyone knows how. As a cloud computing infrastructure architect, you know how to take advantage of cloud capabilities. On our team of experienced professionals, you'll use cutting-edge enterprise cloud platforms to support your clients as they modernize their information technology infrastructure and meet their most challenging missions. We're looking for someone like you to help.

You'll lead and develop Cloud architecture solutions and design patterns to meet business and technical requirements. Create documentation around the setup and implementation in one or more Cloud environments, including AWS or Azure. Contribute to the development of standards and best practices and provide technical oversight, review, and quality control of those artifacts. Act as an SME for AWS or Azure technical issues and decision-making. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience with Cloud computing architecture including migration and deployment of Cloud-based solutions in AWS or Azure

  • Experience with configuring and deploying computer, networking, storage, and database Cloud services

  • Experience in designing IAAS solutions with one or more of the major Cloud providers, including AWS, Azure, or SoftLayer

  • Experience with multiple methods of interacting with AWS, including AWS SDK, AWS API, CLI, AWS Cloud Formation and automated deployment or configuration tools

  • Knowledge of AWS platform features, capabilities, and security features and tools that AWS provides at the expert level

  • Knowledge of architecting large-scale distributed systems in AWS or Azure Clouds

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience in using Cloud services, including IAAS, PAAS, or SAAS and integration with non-Cloud environments

  • Experience with key vault and virtual desktop infrastructure

  • Knowledge of XML and data exchange standards

  • Knowledge of common application approaches and technologies, including SOA or message queuing and database technologies, including backup or restoration and replication or mirroring

  • Knowledge of disaster recovery strategies and design

  • Knowledge of NoSQL data stores, including Hadoop, Hive, HBase, and Accumulo

  • Knowledge of FedRAMP requirements and FISMA security control requirements

  • Knowledge of infrastructure layers, including VMWare and RHEL and how to develop hardware specifications to match performance or scalability requirements

Salary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements. The proposed salary range for this position is outlined below.

Colorado: $88,500 - $184,900 (annualized USD)

New York (including New York City): $94,000 - $226,000 (annualized USD)
