2023 Intern Program - Data Engineer

As a Summer Intern at CDW, you will work on high-quality projects where you will gain valuable experience while delivering work that makes a difference. We strive to provide our interns a meaningful experience and consider CDW for a full-time career post-graduation.

What you'll do:

• Work with various internal Business Stakeholders to understand and document their analytical data needs
• Work with our Offshore and Near-Shore Teams to design and configure rapid ingestion of raw data sources into our Azure Data Lake
• Collaborate with Architects to design a curated data model that meets our Business Stakeholders current wants and anticipates their future data and analytic needs
• Work with Engineers to design and create Azure Data Pipelines to transform raw data from the Azure Data Lake into the Axure SQL Warehouse
• Interact closely with QA and Data Quality

The 2023 Summer Internship Program will begin Tuesday, May 30th and end Friday, August 4th.

Requirements (Preferred)

• A natural curiosity about data and how it can be used to drive Business Value
• Experience producing and/or maintaining business and/or data requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate across company and department boundaries at all levels
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

What we're looking for:

• Currently enrolled undergraduate students with a graduation date of December 2023 or May 2024 studying Information Systems, Computer Science, Business or a related field
• Strong interpersonal and time management skills
• Self-motivated and results-driven individual who will make an impact while utilizing strong written and verbal skills to communicate effectively
• Team oriented and able to develop positive relationships with coworkers and other partners involved
• Strong presentation skills, including ability to develop and deliver presentations
• Microsoft Office skills including, but not limited to Outlook, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, and Word
• Availability to work a 40-hour week within standard business hours throughout the summer
• Authorization to work in the US; without sponsorship as a full-time coworker
