Our team is looking for a Site Deployment and Operations Engineer to bring experience and effective strategies for deploying communication sites to Apple. Key Qualifications You have 5+ years of experience in a system engineering role focused on the design and deployment of communications sites A broad knowledge of various engineering fields including communications systems, mechanical engineering, and/or software engineering is important Your experience in understanding communications site build and operations, including the complexities of site acquisition, regulatory requirements, equipment and site integration, operations, and maintenance will be highly valued Experience performing trade studies and driving key vendor and equipment decisions to closure Willingness to dig into the details and create planning materials carefully and precisely, including statements of work, requests for proposals, and configuration management Some understanding of vendor relationships and contract management Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to foster productive relationships with colleagues Description - You ensure the requirements of different teams are well represented in the design and documentation. - You can work well with high-level guidance and keep projects moving - You will translate system requirements, designs and project plans into schedules and costing - During the design of the system, you will perform trade studies and work with others to facilitate their closure. - If you thrive in helping build and maintain physical sites and communications networks, this might be just the role. - You will ensure that interface description documents meet system needs and ensure different teams' requirements are met - You'll understand how to meld operations, repair, and maintenance needs into initial design decisions, and how to bend operations, repair, and maintenance needs to the real-world realities - Experience with any of the following is a plus: Unix, basic scripting, servers, data systems, routers, switches, 48V power plant.
