This network program consultant role at UnitedHealth Group will call on your knowledge, your energy and your commitment to making health care work more effectively for more people. In this role, you'll use your knowledge and analytical skills to help develop industry-leading value-based care incentive programs. This role will challenge you to bring your best. This is a collaborative, team-focused environment where you'll be managing a portfolio of projects, engaging with the needs of multiple matrix partners and presenting analyses to a variety of key stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Develop reporting tools to guide program development and performance tracking for multiple programs
  • Oversee programmatic design analysis, strategy development and implementation
  • Solve unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business
  • Compile statistical data for a variety of network projects, such as producing monthly affordability and growth reports, forecasting, identifying trends, and performing network trend analysis
  • Interface with Provider Relations, Operations, Product, Growth and Actuarial in solution of benefit and provider issues
  • Collaborate in review and analysis of the effectiveness and efficiency of existing processes and aid in developing strategies for improvement or further leveraging of available resources
  • Collaborate in the development, and implementation of new processes, applications, and enhancements to existing applications
  • Analyze and interpret quantitative data
  • Create and review monthly/quarterly and ad hoc exhibits based on detailed data sets
  • Collaborate and communicate results and technical concepts

Required Qualifications:



  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of experience working with a managed care organization or health insurer
  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis
  • 2+ years of project management or project lead experience
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Health Administration or related field
  • Experience working with data analytics programs (SQL, SAS, RStudio, Python)

  • Solid interpersonal skills, establishing rapport and working well with others

Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, or New York City Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $66,100 to $118,300. The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada/New York City residents is $72,800 to $129,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
