Restricted Recipient Clinical Admin Coordinator - Remote in MN

As a Clinical Administrative Coordinator, you will be part of a care management team who will manage restricted recipient program members. This team has a strong health equity focus and we are dedicated to listening to the needs of the community and our members. You will support the clinical team in assignment of new members to the clinical team, implementation of member care plans and coordination of member care needs. You will be point person for new hires and their onboarding process and you will support clinical staff in ordering equipment and supplies, as needed. You will also support entering information into state systems and updating our internal systems with required information.

If you are located in within a commutable distance of locations needed, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Provide administrative support for care teams
  • Receive and process electronic referral requests for care management services
  • Utilize phone system to respond to and transfer calls to appropriate individuals; Ask callers standard questions to understand requests, gather necessary information, and assess urgency
  • Perform member assignment in clinical system and set up case, monitor work queues and act on requests
  • Process correspondence; mail, fax, email
  • Assist in onboarding/ordering equipment, as needed
  • If you live in Minnesota, you will have the opportunity to telecommute, full time

Required Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • 1+ years of experience in an office setting using the telephone and computer as the primary instruments to perform the job duties, OR Customer Service experience analyzing and solving customer's problems
  • 1+ years of experience with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination, and boosters when applicable, prior to employment to ensure compliance. Preferred Qualifications:



  • 1+ years of experience working with underserved populations
  • Experience working in team-based care
  • Background in Managed Care


Physical Requirements



  • Ability to remain stationary for long periods of time to complete computer or tablet work duties
  • Ability to communicate via phone and email
