Job Description: Operate as an expert-level leader in software architecture to develop architectural patterns and solutions around enterprise-grade software across multiple products in supply chain and merchandizing domain by applying experience of full-stack software development using technologies such as Java, JavaScript and related technology stacks. Own the architectural roadmap and drives the overall technical direction across the organization using cloud-native solutions and modern software development patterns (TDD, DevSecOps, API-led integrations, Event streaming, proactive monitoring, etc.). Own the implementation of architecturally significant projects across the organization, including mobile application development for iOS and Android eco-system, cloud native application development in public cloud(s), DevOps and End to End Monitoring practices using latest concepts and technologies. Modernize applications using software modernization pattern and practices. Provide technical leadership and execution of mission critical software engineering and development activities that directly impact business needs as defined by business owners across multiple products while developing the future state technology strategy and modernization using API- first and event-first approach, including Enterprise Integration Patterns such as APIs and Event and related implementation using technologies such as Event Streaming, API Gateway. Develop and manage people, process and highly technical direction across the engineering architecture and development teams. Review and provide feedback on technical and architectural deliverables from peer and junior software engineers across teams, ensuring data privacy and compliance requirements are met. Research and fix the most difficult technical problems. Stay current with industry best practices, identify opportunities to continually enhance Sysco's Architecture and Engineering strategy and practices. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field PLUS four (4) years of experience in software development including experience in architecting and implementing large scale applications, experience in the full stack software development using technologies such as Java, JavaScript and related technology stacks such as Spring Boot, Hibernate, Gradle, Maven, React, Redux, Node.js, SQL and NoSQL database technologies such as Mysql, MongoDB, Oracle; mobile application development for iOS and Android eco-system; software development lifecycle and practices such as Agile, XP or CMMI; cloud native application development in AWS; DevOps and End to End Monitoring practices using latest concepts and technologies such as continuous integration and continuous delivery; Enterprise Integration Patterns such as APIs and Events and related implementation using technologies such as Messaging, Event Streaming, API Gateways; Practical exposure to software scalability, performance, and resiliency optimization techniques in mission-critical applications. Minimum of three (3) years of experience managing large software development projects of multiple teams.
