The Opportunity:

For an organization to transform in today's digital world, it needs to properly collect, store, and organize its data. Effective data management can enable more efficient operations, yielding more growth. As a data architect, you know how to apply your creative-thinking and analytical mindset to help organizations manage their data assets. We're looking for an experienced data architect like you to deliver leading-edge solutions for the Navy.

As a data architect on our team, you'll use your extensive technical expertise to design data architecture solutions for the strategy of creating a data lake providing comprehensive analytic capabilities through a transformation initiative. You'll resolve routine data architecture issues in collaboration with business analysts and technology teams by working with project teams to understand the challenge and make recommendations on the future data architecture to overcome.

In this role, you'll grow your technical expertise, apply best practices, and use tools like Databricks, AWS data services, and Tableau. You'll guide your team as it designs, defines, develops, and tests cloud solution components, and you'll serve as a liaison between clients and developers to ensure that requirements are met, and solutions are delivered.

You Have:

  • 6+ years of experience with data architecture and databases in an IT consulting or engineering role
  • Experience with DoD data architecture or software systems
  • Experience in working with data leveraging cloud capabilities, including AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with applying big data concepts in a data lake
  • Knowledge of data strategy, big data tools, and both structured and unstructured data
  • Knowledge of enterprise transformation initiatives
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possession of excellent client-facing or consulting skills
  • Master's degree in an IT-related field
  • Data Architecture Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements. The proposed salary range for this position is outlined below.

Colorado: $88,500 - $184,900 (annualized USD)

New York (including New York City): $94,000 - $225,900 (annualized USD)
