Come join our Venice Family Clinic as a Medical Assistant 3. In this role, the Medical Assistant will assists the provider staff of our adult and pediatric primary care clinics in most aspects of health care for our clinic population.

Salary range: $26.45-$34.89 Hourly

Qualifications

Required:

  • Graduation from Medical Assistant course and current Medical Assistant Certificate.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification from the AHA or ARC.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology, process and procedures.
  • Effective oral and written bilingual language skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Ability to perform phlebotomy (venipuncture or phlebotomy certification, or proof of required training to perform phlebotomy), and skill in administering injections and immunizations.
  • Ability to perform basic lab procedures such as pregnancy tests, UA, etc. and keep lab procedures and results logs.
  • Ability to follow through on assignments, while helping to facilitate the organization, prioritization, and completion of all clinic tasks through collaboration with other clinic staff.
  • Interpersonal skills, the ability to take direction, and the ability to work collaboratively with all other staff members.
  • Ability to triage medical problems within scope of job responsibilities, and work in busy setting with conflicting demands.
  • Ability to pass Basic Health Worker course and obtain certificate.
