**This role can be completely remote, sitting anywhere within the US**
We seek a Content Strategist to join a community of UX designers, researchers, and writers creating useful, usable, and intuitive data resources and enterprise IT applicationsin the federal government healthcare space. We are a dynamic, diverse, and highly collaborative group that works to put our users first, whether they are individual patients managing their own healthcare, service providers delivering care, or analysts making data-driven decisions to guide health policy.
As a Content Strategist you will develop the information architecture, taxonomy, and content strategy for large amounts of data and narrative content while supporting a community of contributors with guidelines, planning, and authoring. You will embed with a scrum team of designers, developers, and others on your primary while also benefiting from the support of your broader HCD work with us!
Key Responsibilities:
  • Work to support the UX vision and strategy established by project leadership in alignment with business objectives.
  • Inform content design with empathy by using and contributing to user research and engaging users.
  • Work as part of a team to create and structure language and deliver a high-quality experience that features written and visual content.
  • Define and extend existing information architecture and navigation.
  • Iterate and incorporate feedback to improve your own content and that of third-party authors.
  • Communicate principles of content design and the rationale of decisions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Complete tasks efficiently to help the product team deliver on schedule.
  • Participate in an Agile process to learn quickly and iterate on yourwork.
  • Contribute to and follow voice and tone, style guide, and content standards in harmony with industry best practices.
  • Create content that is engaging, usable, and human to build a strong connection to users.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Communication, or similar STEM field.
  • 3+ years of applied experience role in the software in a content strategist, content designer, UX writer, or related role.
  • Portfolio submission will be required demonstrating your writing process and a selection of deliverables.
  • Candidate must reside in the US, be authorized to work in the US, and work must be performed in the US
  • Candidate must have resided in the US 3 of the last 5 years
  • Candidate must be eligible for public trust.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in federal contracting or healthcare IT preferred.
  • Experience working with common web content management systems, (i.e., Drupal).
  • Experience designing, implementing, and monitoring a taxonomy/tag-based approach to structuring content.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final salary for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
