What you will be doing

Albertson's Companies is looking for people who are passionate about re-imagining the grocery and food space by harnessing the power of partnerships and building deeper customer relationships. The Partnerships Product Management team within the Shopper Experience Pillar has the broad responsibility to leverage digital technologies and our partner platforms to identify value and deliver best in class customer engagement experiences. We enable Albertsons to meet our customers wherever and whenever they might experience the joy of food.

This role will focus on evolving existing partnerships and driving integrations reporting to the Principal Product Manager. S/he will assist in defining the partnership product vision and roadmap including but not limited to engagements across other pillars like loyalty, catalog, and our digital properties to deliver on business defined KPIs. S/he will be responsible for collecting and interpreting user research and data, conceiving innovative products, creating a robust product roadmap, and managing product lifecycles for key projects. The right candidate will be strategic and ambitious with the proven ability to deliver products that create clear and significant value for partners and the end user.

This position is located in Pleasanton, California, but in some cases can be approved for a remote working arrangement.

Main responsibilities



  • Gather input from a variety of internal and external sources to define product visions and concepts; analyzes competitors and market trends; evaluates technologies; develops detailed requirements, feature definitions, implementation plans, and internal communications
  • Actively champions a User first approach in defining opportunities and value.
  • Ability to manage and update status on multiple projects across several key partners.
  • Consistently communicates with empathy, preparedness, organization and clear
  • Write user stories and manage epics/features as a part of the product development lifecycle that:
  • directly aligned with OKRs objectives of the pillar and team
  • consider and monitor dependencies on other stories and/or projects & initiatives
  • engage proactively with teams to define, discuss and deliver
  • Define and plan how common asks/features from 3rdparty platforms/experiences could be offered as an ACI product.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams during the entire lifecycle of product development. Proactively identifies problems that arise in the project, outlines options, recommends solutions, and escalates as needed
  • Identify areas that require customer research. Work with user experience team to test end user designs through mock-ups, functional prototypes, etc. to ensure they are meeting intended goals
  • Develop supporting business case, including financial impact and benefits statements, to support feature/functionality concepts


What we are searching for



  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 2+ years' product management experience, product strategy, or consulting experience
  • Experience leading agile development teams
  • Internet and retail experience strongly preferred. Experience in Grocery/CPG industry ideal but not required.
  • Strong analytical, prioritization and negotiating skills
  • Usability and customer-focused design experience a plus
  • Experience with A/B testing a plus
  • Passionate about building great products and solving customer and business problems
