POSITION SUMMARY:
The Howard Hughes Corporation is searching for a part-time, on-call Mascot Performer to represent the award-winning, master planned communities of The Woodlands and Bridgeland and The Woodlands Hills during year-round community events. This work consists of facilitating guest experiences and attending to other logistical needs of the mascot. This work requires frequent physical body movement, standing for extended periods of time, walking for extended periods of time, and the ability to manage hot and humid environments. Contacts require skills in positive interactions with children and adults, the ability to remain energetic and engage and entertain audiences.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Represent The Howard Hughes Corporation in a professional, enthusiastic and positive manner at community events.
* Participate and assist with events by wearing a costume and performing various activities, including but not limited to distributing flyers, acting as a sign holder during events, dancing in front of a crowd, and appearing at charitable functions.
* Create a memorable experience for all community members in attendance at events.
* Preserve the identity of the mascot without deviating from established character including: body language/mannerisms, attitude, community interaction, and representation.
* Maintain and care for all mascot costumes as well as props and equipment.
* Work cooperatively with all departments for various community and media appearances.
* Serve as liaison to provide The Howard Hughes Corporation with feedback from members of the community at events.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
* High energy and enthusiasm.
* Ability to work in a team environment.
* Preserve identity of the mascot.
* Flexible work schedule, including weekend shifts.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
* The physical demands are high because most work is performed at outdoor events throughout the year, with occasional events in a climate-controlled environment.
* The mascot suit requirements fit an ideal height of 5'8" or an approximate height.
* The candidate must be physically capable of carrying a weight load of 35 pounds.
* Mascot and dance experience or athletic abilities a plus but not essential.
