Primary Responsibilities:

• Initiates Clinical office operations and assists physicians with a wide range of healthcare services and procedures. Provides daily supervision of the support staff for the clinical area to ensure the smooth operation of the office
• Oversees the daily clinical flow, schedules and functions, ensuring all site medical assistants provide quality medical treatment. When needed, train other medical assistants to improve performance and skill
• Escort patients, obtain health history, check vital signs and perform EKG's
• Administer injections and collect specimens
• Document patient care using electronic medical record software (EPIC)
• Schedule appointments, process medication refills, handle referrals, answer calls and complete paperwork as needed
• Current CPR card for Healthcare Professionals (BLS) or willing to obtain within 90 days

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Graduate from a Medical Assistant program/school, and a Registered Medical Assistant or licensed Certified Medical Assistant
• 2+ years of back office Medical Assistant experience
• Intermediate computer knowledge
