Vice President, People

As the VP, People, reporting directly to the SVP, HR, you will lead AArete's people team of human resources, recruitment, and resource management. In doing so establish strategies, including resource staffing, performance management, hiring, cultural initiatives, and major HR annual processes, such as our benefits renewal, promotion process, bi-annual performance reviews, and compensation cycle.

This role will require excellent communication skills, business acumen, and the ability to function in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment. You will be a hands-on leader while also contributing as a strategic partner and coach to leadership and employees across the organization. You will work in partnership with the Sr. VP, Human Resources to quickly diagnose challenges, strategize solutions and implement change.

As the VP, People, you will play a critical role in maintaining AArete's unique and diverse culture and continually assess and understand business priorities to align people strategy to the business strategy. This role requires apassion for people, building relationships, and an entrepreneurial spirit to envision and execute scalability for the future.

Work you'll do

  • Craft and execute a holistic people strategy
  • Drive implementation and adoption of key people analytics to support thoughtful, data-driven people decisions
  • Build strong, trusted, and impactful relationships with leaders and team members across AArete
  • Drive HR strategies, collaboration, and communication with global team members
  • Lead the development of a market competitive compensation structure creating alignment to reinforce desired behaviors & performance outcomes
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and risk mitigation support to complex employee relation matters
  • Implement scalable processes and systems across hiring, onboarding, compensation, HR compliance, performance management, and training, among others
  • Create strategies that will enhance team member engagement, ultimately driving retention
  • Manage delivery and continuous improvement of key HR initiatives: Onboarding, Performance Management, Compensation Planning, Talent Management, Staffing, Budgeting, and Forecasting
  • Provide expert counsel, advice, and coaching to employees and advise leadership on all employee relations and performance management matters
  • Serve as a partner to the recruiting team and hiring managers on talent strategy by refining talent acquisition strategies and processes that empower our talent team and hiring managers to attract top talent
  • Lead, mentor, and coach members of the People team
  • Support the Talent Acquisition team to identify the organizational requirements needed to sustain a high-performing organization and to develop a strong talent pipeline
  • Manage workforce planning, project staffing, and resource utilization
  • Act as a key Operations leader, partnering with our Finance, Marketing, DEI, Training, and other teams throughout the firm
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in a high-growth, fast-paced environment creating, scaling, and implementing HR policies and programs
  • Previous background within Consulting or Professional Services industry
  • Significant experience with performance management, employee relations, staffing, and recruitment
  • Understanding of local and international employment laws and regulations
  • Comfortable influencing and advising executive leadership on people, talent, and employment matters
  • Experience managing direct reports, mentoringand developing HR talent
  • Deep expertise utilizing data to influence organizational decisions
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Human Resources
  • Master's degree or certifications in Human Resources preferred
