We are looking for a Entry-Level Dental Assistant who is passionate about caring for underserved populations. The selected candidate will assist the dentist with procedures chairside, collect data and maintain accurate documentation for patients' files, and sterilize all dental surfaces, instruments, and equipment. They will answer telephone calls and schedule appointments as necessary. They will also perform Coronal Polishing, if qualified to do so. This is a full-time position located at our satellite clinic in West Omaha. The schedule will be 40 hours per week, generally between the hours of 8am-5pm, Monday-Thursday. Position may require traveling between OneWorld locations upon manager/director request. To ensure the safety of our patients, employees, and communities, OneWorld Community Health Centers is requiring all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 effective November 15th, 2021. Exemptions may be granted for religious or medical accommodations. QUALIFICATIONS: - High School Diploma or GED required. - Graduation from a dental assisting program preferred. - Prior training in dental assisting preferred. - Basic Life Support certification required. - Coronal polishing certification preferred. - Radiology certification preferred. - Proficiency both English and Spanish required. - Strong computer skills required. - Experience with Dentrix software preferred. - Previous training/experience in dental assisting preferred. - Experience in taking radiographs preferred. - Experience in Coronal Polishing preferred.
