Job Description:

The Director of Cybersecurity leads a dynamic effort to build, enhance and sustain successful cybersecurity governance, compliance and risk (GRC) programs. This work is essential for meeting present and emerging requirements from senior leadership, the board, and regulators. The Director will join Cybersecurity GRC leadership and lead portfolio of programs at the global security office of Silicon Valley Bank. The Director will shape and execute cybersecurity GRC strategy while adhering to federal regulations, standards and industry best practices.

Responsibilities
  • Develops strategies and policy regarding cybersecurity practices.
  • Oversees the department's adherence to cybersecurity regulations.
  • Directs initiatives to continuously improve cybersecurity services, including risk assessments and security policy exceptions program
  • Provides guidance and coaching to direct reports
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, technology related field or equivalent education and 8 years of cybersecurity and technology experience.
  • 3-5 Years of management and/or lead experience with dotted line or direct reports.
  • Clear ability to express complex multidisciplinary technical and business concepts in terms that are understandable to all levels of Lines of Business and corporate management both verbally and in writing.
  • Previous experience as a SOX, HIPAA, GLBA, PCI Company website auditor and/or assessor with familiarity of regulatory reports on compliance.
  • Previous experience with policy and standards development.
  • Previous experience with security controls management.
  • Previous experience with project audits.
  • Previous experience with metrics analysis and definition.
  • Previous experience with executive level reporting

Certifications

  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) - Preferred

Base Pay:

$184,339.00 - $259,966.00

Actual starting base pay will be determined on skills, experience, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. Total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other perks, as outlined in any formal offer made.
