Job Summary |
The Department of Crop Soil and Environmental Sciences seeks candidates for a Research Tech position to assist with field data research related to precision agriculture.
This is a limited term appointment funded from external sources. Continuation of employment is contingent upon availability of funds.

Essential Functions |
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Operate field, laboratory and/or shop equipment used in support of research projects and collect data from field experiments.
- Maintain laboratory and field equipment.
- Purchase materials, supplies, and sometimes small instrumentation required for laboratory and field data collection.
- Organize data collected in the field, receipts from purchases, and vehicle mileage logs.
- Assist with organizing field data and workshops and preparing Extension publications.
- Oversee undergraduate and graduate students during field and laboratory data collection.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Skills, License, and Certifications
Minimum Skills and Abilities |
Basic agronomic and environmental sciences knowledge. |
Minimum Technology Skills |
Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite, smartphones, laptop and tablet computers. |

Bachelor's degree in Agronomy or Environmental Sciences desired. |
