Seeking Neonatologist for Established Group Practice in Meridian, MS - Serving Community Hospitals with no commute and great vacation time.

Neonatal Services, Ltd., in Meridian, MS is seeking a neonatologist to join its established practice. The group currently has two neonatologists and four NNPs and provides coverage between two large hospital systems in the area- Ochsner Rush Health and Anderson Regional Medical Center. The group serves the patients of East MS and West AL, encompassing over 350,000 patients per year and 2500 deliveries.

Additional Details:

  • Seeking a BC/BE Neonatologist to serve two community hospitals, 215-bed and 400-bed, 22 NICU beds, and average daily census of 12

  • No In house call

  • Private Practice employment with salary

  • Two level III NICUs with CMV, oscillators, no cooling, no surgery, no ECMO.

  • Great PTO of 26 weeks the first year to include sick leave, CME and vacation; time increases after the first year

Our comprehensive Pediatrics Program including primary care pediatricians and pediatric medical and surgical subspecialists (Ochsner Children's) represents over 230 physicians. The group is the region's leading integrated provider of multispecialty care for newborns, infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. We offer a full range of pediatric complex specialty services including congenital heart surgery and cardiac transplantation, liver and bone marrow transplantation, a comprehensive surgical sub-specialty group, and the region's only comprehensive multidisciplinary developmental center.

We recently announced the building of a new separate, comprehensive, dedicated Children's Hospital on our main campus, with expected opening in 2027.

We currently care for patients in an expanding 67-bed Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, a 14-bed PICU, a 12-bed pediatric CV-ICU, and a 44-bed pediatric acute unit, with a dedicated pediatric emergency room, and full-time, region-wide in-house pediatric and neonatal transport teams.

In addition to patient care, Ochsner Children's Hospital has an ACGME-accredited pediatric residency program and is responsible for teaching pediatric residents from the Tulane-Ochsner Pediatric Residency program as well as medical students from both Tulane and the University of Queensland. Ochsner Health and Xavier University of Louisiana recently announced an agreement to establish a joint College of Medicine.
