Overview: Our client, a well-known & established engineering consultancy firm, seeks a Regulatory Licensing and Permitting Specialist to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in licensing and compliance work for state & federal permitting processes. Responsibilities:
- Work in ongoing (re)licensing & permitting efforts as part of a team
- Take projects to near completion without much oversight
- Assist regulatory professionals & scientists with many tasks, including environmental analyses for license applications; preparing state & federal permits; developing reports, agendas, and presentations
- Project-related research & review of environmental regulations
- Summarize environmental, scientific, and engineering data
- Coordinate & attend meetings with resource agencies & contractors
- Assist with project schedule & budget planning
- Lead small to medium tasks while managing competing deadlines
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science or related field highly desired, college-level writing proficiency is required
- 3+ years of experience in licensing and compliance work including State and Federal permitting processes (i.e., US Army Corps of Engineers 404 permits, 401 Clean Water Act permitting, Section 106, NEPA, SEPA, CEQA) required
- Knowledge and experience of federal regulations relating to energy & the environment desired
- Proficiency with MS Office suite required
- Demonstrated ability to organize & track multiple project assignments
- Ability to work well as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Excellent verbal & written communication and research skills
- Direct in-person engagement in offices required
- Valid driver's license required
- Occasional travel/site visits required
