Under minimal supervision, the Test Automation Engineer implements and supports application systems testing across the enterprise. This includes designing, building, implementing and optimizing test scripts - both manual and automated to ensure applications meet expected quality and service levels. In addition, the Test Automation Engineer troubleshoots performance issues with applications leveraging testing experience.
Primary Responsibilities
- Supports the business line leadership vision and plans designing and writing test automation scripts while leveraging technical knowledge.
- Assists in troubleshooting and investigating problems as a result of testing in enterprise applications for internal customers
- Develops, documents and communicates new standard practices in Test Automation and test scripts
- Writes, translates, and codes automated test scripts according to specifications
- Performs system configuration and hands-on fixes to existing automated test scripts in accordance with both standard practices and third-party vendor documentation
- Adheres to department standards for Change and Incident Management. Records, tracks, and documents the problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution
- Assists other team members aligning new software programs and applications with best practices for quality and testability
- Assists in the planning of phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) - with a focus on testing and quality assurance - for a variety of projects
- Assists in the quality and testability aspects of preparation and documentation of software requirements and specifications
- Conducts research on emerging application testing software products, techniques and standards in support of quality assurance efforts
- Recommends and performs software improvements and upgrades for automated testing tools
- Runs and monitors software tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of confirming program changes, correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging
- Administers critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas
- Assists in the development and maintenance of user manuals and guidelines
- Completes annual E-Learning Plan and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) training as assigned and keeps up-to-date knowledge of BSA as it relates to the job function.

Qualifications
- Bachelors Computer Science
- Or Related Field required or
- equivalent experience required
- 3-5 years minimum experience as a QA Analyst, QA Developer, or Test Automation Engineer or similar experience required
- Proven hands-on experience in developing test automation within set frameworks required
- Proven experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies and issue resolution techniques required
- Understanding of API integrations required
- Experience in testing processes and change management required
- Proven ability to work in fast paced environment and meet project deadlines required
- Strong customer service experience and advanced analytical and problem-solving skills required
- Ability to work well individually and in a team environment required
- Experience and certification in Salesforce, Provar, Jira, Flosum preferred
