JOB DESCRIPTION



Responsibilities

The Casino Host is responsible for generating customer awareness of the Wild Card Rewards program and upcoming special events & promotions. This will be achieved through interactions with players on the casino floor, at special events, and promotions; as well as through phone and email contact methods.

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

    Oversees, solicits, and identifies new gaming customers for the Players Club Program
  • Demonstrates exceptional guest courtesy to both internal and external customers with every interaction
  • Provides timely and accurate enrollment into the Seminole Players Club program both at the PC desk and on the floor
  • Assists guests with promotional offers as received via direct mail or other advertising
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are followed with all required paperwork completed and filed accurately
  • Handle crowd control effectively with consideration for our guests
  • Announce drawings, events and special promotions on the public address system


Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree preferred and/or combination of education and work experience
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience as a VIP Service Host, Casino Host, or equivalent required
  • Minimum 2 years of guest service experience required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in casino and/or hotel environment required
  • Proficient knowledge of CMP & LMS programs required
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word required
  • Experience in gaming machines and/or table games preferred
  • Must have exceptional guest service skills
  • Must have the ability to resolve stressful situations
  • Must be able to make sound complimentary decisions based on tracked customer play
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Must conduct themselves in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, and Seminole Tribe of Florida departmental policies and procedures

Work Environment:

  • Duties and responsibilities are typically performed on the Casino Floor in a fast-paced, guest-smoking environment, with constant exposure to general public and excessive noise
  • This position requires frequent standing and walking and the ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

The Tribal Council gives preference in all of its employment practices to Native Americans. First preference in hiring, training, promoting and in all other aspects of employment is given to members of the Seminole Tribe who meet the job requirements. Second preference is given to members of other federally recognized Native American Tribes who meet the job requirements.
