Overview

The incumbent in this position is responsible for managing all cage operations. Adheres to company and Indiana Gaming Commission policies and regulatory compliance requirements in order to assure the safeguarding of company assets.



Responsibilities

(These functions are intended as a general illustration of the work performed in this job classification and are not all inclusive for this position)

    Responsible for the management and operation of the Cage.
  • Monitors procedures relating to the Cage department to ensure compliance with the Company's Internal Control.
  • Responsible for developing, overseeing training and supervising the Cage Department.
  • Responsible for control and account activities within the Cage for assigned shifts.
  • Promotes good customer relations and provides excellent customer response to complaints.
  • Has credit authority as outlined in Credit Policy.
  • Patron enrollment.
  • Trains, coaches, and counsels as appropriate.
  • A role model for the team.
  • A partner to all Casino Operational areas ensuring efficiency in process and effective communication.
  • Assist with variance resolution.
  • Responsible for the operational activities during their assigned shifts.
  • Complies with AML/Title 31 regulations.
  • Adheres to internal controls and standards operational procedures.
  • Adheres to Company policies and procedures.
  • In an emergency and with appropriate notification to the IGC can perform drop and count process but will not be allowed to buy drop in the same gaming day.
  • Adheres to all Indiana Gaming Regulations.

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Attend seminars when needed.


Qualifications

EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)

High school diploma required. Two (2) to three (3) years minimum of Cage management experience required.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc.):

  • Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Indiana Gaming Commission.
  • Must successfully pass background check.
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality relative to financial data and casino policies.
  • Must successfully pass drug screening.
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.

KNOWLEDGE OF:

  • State and local tax laws, gaming laws and banking regulations.
  • Knowledge of currency reporting requirements.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to delegate responsibility and motivate and manage a diverse group of team members to achieve common goals and objectives.
  • Office procedures, methods, and equipment including computers and applicable software applications such as word processing, email, spreadsheets, and databases to include excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Principles of supervision, training, and performance evaluation;
  • Pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
