About Ogilvy

Ogilvy was founded in 1948 by David Ogilvy. David created a culture that deeply respects and cares about its people and clients. Our mission is to inspire people and brands to make an impact and we are committed to attracting, growing, and retaining the best talent in the industry.

About the Role

Ogilvy DC is looking for a graphic designer with a focus on Production Design to join our growing creative team. You will be among the best and brightest in the city, who all strive to deliver exceptional creative for our wide range of consumer and government clients.

About the team:

  • We are small enough to be nimble but large enough to get things done on a global scale.
  • We believe in treating others with respect. Compassionate candor is our standard operating approach.
  • We are a work-family who supports one another and strives to help one another succeed.
  • We are committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment where all can be their authentic selves and have the opportunity to shine.

What You'll Do

  • See creative opportunities in every assignment.
  • Thoughtfully listen to client needs and come up with multiple polished options.
  • Enjoy working within brand standards and also believe in pushing the brand forward.
  • Know a thing or two about print and also embrace creating digital environments.
  • Take satisfaction in distilling piles of copy into beautifully laid-out, multi-page documents.
  • Believe that design is a craft and are dedicated to mastering it.
  • Appreciate and are well versed with design systems, layout principles, typography, and color theory - and can pair those skills with non-technical creativity.
  • Collaborate well with a geographically dispersed team, and are able to work on your own, set and meet deadlines, and juggle multiple projects.

What You'll Need

  • You have several years of experience working with large creative accounts (government is a plus).
  • You have strong examples of brochures, newsletters, annual reports, and other like-minded multi-page documents.
  • You have experience working in a production-focused environment where no two days (or projects) are the same.
  • You're amazing with the latest design and presentation software.

How We'll Support You

Ogilvy celebrates its people. Fully. Enthusiastically. Unhesitatingly. We'll empower you with the tools you'll need to succeed. We'll give you the autonomy to seek out new paths and better ways of doing things. We'll support you with colleagues who are experts in their disciplines, drawn from across the Ogilvy network. And we'll provide opportunities for you to do work of which you'll be proud, with people you'll be proud to call your teammates.
