Job Description

* Responsible for pulling orders, packaging, printing labels, marking and documenting all outgoing shipments.
* Responsible for any special skid or package preparation necessary to ensure safe transportation of the product and ensure it will be delivered in good condition
* Prepare identification with customer's name and destination, handling instructions, etc. and apply to containers to conform with standard instructions and
procedures. Prepare necessary paperwork and reports from computer
* Work from shipping orders, computer, shipping instructions and regulations.
* Under general supervision, instructions and guidance provided on procedural changes, new regulations, etc. Maintains a high degree of quality, quantity and safety
and keeps work area clean.
* Enter and access information on PC or mainframe as needed. Also, participates on problem solving teams as required.
* Performs other duties as required by supervisor.

* Ability to use some judgment to comply with instructions and standard procedures, methods or practices involving the making of minor decisions.
* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, percents, decimals and fractions using a calculator.
* Ability to use and understand simple formulas.
* Self-motivated
* Cooperative, positive can-do attitude
* Self-Directed with ability to work independently with little direction from supervisor
* Minimum High School diploma or equivalent
* Computer experience to locate and enter information via computer
* Forklift experience a plus
* Effective oral and written communication skills including public and small group settings.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
* Stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to the floor.
* Ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly.
* Ability to do light work consisting of frequent lifting or moving light weight material in difficult working conditions.
* Extended periods of standing.
* Must be able to wear required PPE (safety toe shoes).
