Opens and closes doors for cars, vans, taxis, and limousines

Welcomes guests to the hotel

Follows all Loews Hotels Star Service standards when interacting with guests

Determines nature of guest's visit to determine parking status and provide appropriate information

Issues appropriate parking ticket corresponding to the nature of the guest's visit (i.e., registered hotel guest - overnight parking, restaurant guest, banquet/function guest)

Inspects vehicles for damage, noting the location of any scrapes, dents, marks, or scratches prior to moving vehicles

Records all required information on parking ticket

Parks and retrieves cars in a safe and professional manner
-
Pulls out, turns, and stops cars slowly, avoiding any screeching of tires
-
Returns seats/mirrors to original positions before exiting vehicles
-
Ensures that car trunk and all doors are locked before leaving cars in parking area
-
Immediately reports to Security any suspicious activity in parking area
-
Reports any vehicle scrapes, bumps, and accidents to Security immediately
-
Handles parking tickets and car keys in a secure manner
-
Files parking ticket/keys in appropriate manner
-
Turns vehicle engines off before turning over cars to guests
-
Verifies guest claim check number and description on parking ticket with vehicle claim number to ensure that the proper vehicle is given to each guest

Is alert for guests who appear to be intoxicated and intend to drive a vehicle - notifies Security department immediately for assistance
-
Follows directions from the Director of Security or the MOD in handling intoxicated guest situations
-
Uses guest's name when addressing guests

Provides warm departing comments to guests
-
Announces the arrival of shuttle buses
-
Answers transportation questions and provides information regarding transportation options including cost and times of departure
-
Provides guests with hotel information and surrounding area information and directions
-
Orders/hails taxis for guests, informing taxi driver of guest's destination
-
Refers guests needing car rental or limousine arrangements to Concierge for assistance
-
Answers telephone calls in a professional manner consistent with Star Service standards
-
Monitors the condition of hotel entrance area, picking up any debris or trash, contacting Housekeeping for major cleaning tasks
-
Establishes a good working relationship with Door and Bell Attendants, the Concierge department, and the Front Desk
-
Other duties as assigned

Notifies appropriate individuals fully and completely of all problems and unusual matters of significance

Is polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management, and employees

Attends appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions
