Job Summary

PDI is seeking an Insights Manager to join our team working in an exciting $100 billion retail data ecosystem, leveraging a rich dataset to uncover insights to drive business decisions in the areas of growing shopper loyalty and engagement through consumer segmentation, promotion optimization and category management.

The candidate will be able to lead Insights and drive analytical practices, standards, and client engagements. The successful applicant will join a highly capable and diverse team with a can-do attitude and a strong desire to make an impact.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibility for this role is to create actionable insights for clients in support of their growth objectives.

  • Lead Insights initiatives, projects and team members to support a portfolio of retail and brand clients
  • Develop, curate and communicate a fact-based narrative which describes and predicts consumer behavior leveraging PDI's extensive data assets
  • Using client feedback, work with the broader Insights and Product teams to continuously improve both product offerings and the client experience
  • Manage analytics processes and ensure they are tuned for optimal performance on an ongoing basis
  • Drive adoption and usage of the PDI platform through client training, ongoing engagement with multiple contacts within an organization, effective communication, and relationship building

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Bachelors' degree in Computer Science or related field plus 5+ years of professional experience in an analytical and/or client-facing role, preferably in retail or CPG industry
  • Advanced competency in SQL, Excel, and BI Tools such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Proven superb written and oral communication skills
  • Outstanding analytical skills and a passion for problem-solving
  • Phenomenal organizational skills and one who naturally thrives in a multi-tasking environment with the ability to effectively manage priorities with limited oversight
  • Experience with customer relationship management is a plus
  • Strong team player with an opportunistic and self-starting mindset
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
