At the American Red Cross, your uniqueness can shine! The Red Cross of Michigan (Detroit) has a fantastic opportunity available for a Executive Coordinator II Position. This is full time 40 hours/week. Will work primarily in office. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: The Executive Coordinator will provide complex administrative support to the Regional Executive Officer. The Executive Coordinator will prepare reports and various correspondences. Administer projects, programs, and/or processes applicable to the unit. Analyze unit operating practices and recommends revisions to improve established procedures. The Executive Coordinator will may serve as an administrative liaison with others within and outside the company regarding administrative issues. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers. Must be highly organized and proactive to anticipate needs. Will need experience preparing meeting agendas, materials and recording accurate meeting minutes. Manage calendar meetings for the CEO and where needed serving as meeting proxy representing the ARC, regular and timely travel arrangements, and expense processing. Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft suite of applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Attention to detail and flexibility to change priorities easily is essential. WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE GOOD: 1: Perform a variety of complex administrative duties, with little supervision and exercising confidentiality. Prepare and maintain memos, records, reports, data or correspondence for management or staff review. Reviews correspondence for consistency with corporate policies and practices. May develop high-level presentations and/or spreadsheet reports and run specialized queries from department database. 2: Initiate, prepare, and edit written materials, correspondence, and reports using various software and/or database management applications. 3: Compile and generate reports, statistics, timelines, tables, graphs, correspondence and presentations supporting functional area or business unit/project by utilizing specific database or software applications. 4: May administer a particular project involving operational issues and compile results and findings for management review. May participate as a department representative on a cross-functional project team or serve as a project manager for an intra-department project. 5: May provide functional supervision to clerical/administrative staff assigned to unit. 6: Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED: Education: High School or equivalent required. Experience: Minimum 7 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
