Description
Apple has played a significant role in the use of technology in the classroom for decades. From its very first introduction of the Apple II into classrooms in 1978 to today's state wide deployments of MacBooks and iPads to students, Apple continues to show an unwavering commitment to advancing access to state of the art learning tools in education. As a companion to Apple's popular MacBooks and iPads in education, Classroom app for iOS and macOS is an invaluable tool for teachers to make the most of the digital learning experience for their students. As an engineer on the Classroom team, your primary responsibility will be high-level UI development, but you'll often find yourself working at different levels of the stack in order to pull off challenging features. You should feel comfortable moving fluidly from network programming to framework and application development. You'll be maintaining and improving not just the Classroom app, but also its supporting frameworks and system services. You'll also be responsible for debugging and delivering the best possible application performance and adopting the best testing practices to help you find and fix bugs early. You will work with other creative and passionate team members as you collaborate with them on their proposed software implementations. As the face of the Classroom app running on iPadOS and macOS, every engineer on our team can have an enormous impact on the product we ship. To succeed here, you'll need above all to be passionate about building a classroom assistant experience that is the best of its kind. Education & Experience
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience developing apps or building frameworks or developing UI's will be considered. Significant experience developing iOS or macOS consumer applications or equivalent applications is required.

Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900 and $256,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
