Job Description


Generates business opportunities with Mobile OEM customers across multiple divisions and Groups globally by providing engineered application solutions with Parker products. Overall responsibility for Application Engineering, project management, and business development with high revenue accountability promoting complex products and system solutions. Works with Group Vice Presidents of Technology, Division Engineering, and Marketing leads to develop strategic and tactical plans to obtain short and long-term objectives. Works with Group Vice Presidents of Technology, Division Engineering, and Marketing leads to develop strategic and tactical plans to obtain short and long-term objectives.

  • Focuses Industry Market Managers, Application Engineers and System Engineers on high probability opportunities in the Mobile OEM markets globally.
  • Develops, manages, and supports proposals and business development plans for Divisions and Groups globally. Facilitates cross-division and cross-group coordination required to gain business.
  • Conducts competitive research and implements growth plans for specific products and systems. Applies thorough understanding of the markets, competitors and industry trends to influence future product and promotion strategies.
  • Serves as the facilitator with customers and Regional/Group Engineering and Marketing to resolve issues and assure customer satisfaction regarding performance, product quality, delivery, and cost. Provides the customer with support within and across divisions and groups on existing and new products and programs. Stays in close contact with division technology and operations teams to enable rapid turnaround solutions.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with customers to gain knowledge of future market and customer needs and further develop business opportunities.
  • Identifies opportunities for business development by studying competitors' products, problems, market intelligence, and identifying trends.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing trade and technical publications, establishing professional networks, and/or participating in professional associations and attending industry trade shows and conferences.
  • Serves as technical subject expert and resource. Shares specialized knowledge with others. Represents company on specific projects. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Work assignments may include cross-functional or project team responsibilities (e.g. continuous improvement).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience which has provided both theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of motion and control technologies. An MBA is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through ten or more years of increasingly responsible experience including seven or more years of high-level
