Senior Treasury Information Systems Analyst(HYBRID)

Under general supervision of the Treasury Director, the Senior Treasury Information Systems Analyst acts as a systems analyst and project leader within the Treasurers department.The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills and solid knowledge of all core business processes of Accounts Payable, Cash Management, and Accounts Receivable; understands how each business process fits into the overall picture of Treasury operations.

This is a hybrid position. Candidate will work hybrid at the Chevy Chase, MD location.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes and evaluates systems and core business processes of Cashiers, Corporate Banking, and Remittance Center within the Treasurers department. Identifies opportunities for improvement, recommends changes, and implements remediation as necessary.

  • Plans, designs, develops, tests and implements enhancements of systems and/or business processes for Cashiers, Corporate Banking, and Remittance Center within the Treasurers department. Trains Treasury associates on the new or enhanced systems/business processes. Maintains the new or enhanced systems/business processes after implementation.

  • Coordinates with IT, Financial Systems Control (FSC) of the Controllers department, and other departments on implementation of new or modified systems that impact the Treasury operations.Gathers and documents user requirements and communicates with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Under the supervision of the Treasury Director, acts as a project leader and plans, schedules and manages the activities of the project members; monitors and reports to management timely on project status.

  • Creates comprehensive test plans for new or modified systems that impact the Treasury operations. Conducts system tests including End-to-End tests and User-Acceptance tests.Reviews and verifies tests results of others. Tracts issues noticed during testing and communicates with the stakeholders and system developers.

  • Develops queries, models and reports to assist decision making of Treasury management and other departments using SQL (Structured Query Language), SAS and/or Python.

  • Performs Cost-Benefit analysis, trend analysis and other analytical tasks requested by Treasury management using Excel, SAS, SQL, Visual Basic, and/or Python.

  • Retrieves data from different sources, including EDW (Enterprise Data Warehouse), MicroStrategy, billing systems, Peoplesoft, Workday Financials, web-based banking applications, etc.Translates data into actionable insights that can drive changes.

  • Researches system issues and investigates book-to-bank reconciliation out-of-balances that the reconcilers are unable to resolve; identifies root causes, recommends resolutions, and monitors progress toward resolution.

  • Trains new hires and those learning new or modified processes. Instructs and reviews the work of those in training.Documents and reports to management performance of the trainees.

  • Presents overview of systems and/or business processes to Treasury management, the Treasurer, and management of other departments when needed.

  • Prepares and revises policies and procedures for core systems and business processes.

  • BA/BS required Finance, Accounting or related field

Acts as a back-up for certain critical functions within Treasurers, including:

  • Short-term investment and cashflow management

  • Review and dispatch of daily wire transfers

  • Daily credit card reconciliation and out-of-balances reporting

  • Daily bank decisioning for claims checks

  • IRS 1099-MISC correction
