Job Summary Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC) is hiring a Administrative Specialist to work under a learning college philosophy () where learning happens anytime, anytime, anyway, any place. This position performs administrative office support, office coordination and/or records processing activities in support of assigned program or function. Essential Functions 30% - Coordinates the room reservations, signage, promotion, evaluation, and attendance documentation of workshops, training, and other department events, prioritizes all aspects of front desk operations 20% - Reviews and verifies the accuracy and consistency of information, data, records, invoices and other assignment-related transactions in accordance with established procedures and guidelines 20% - Monitors inventory and contacts vendors to procure office and official functions food and supplies 20% - Prepares and maintains routine and non-routine correspondence, reports, documents, expense reports, records and files according to established standards and procedures 10% - Updates and maintains schedules, calendars and related meeting materials. Performs other duties as assigned commensurate to the grade level of the position Minimum Qualifications Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited institution and one (1) year of clerical, administrative office support or related experience. OR High school diploma/GED and two (2) years of clerical, administrative office support or related experience. Desired Qualifications 1. Bachelor's Degree or higher or an associate degree with two years of clerical, administrative office support or related experience 2. Experience working in an administrative support position at a community college or university 3. Experience with budget monitoring or reports for an organization 4. Experience with procurement 5. Experience with spreadsheet applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets) 6. Experience with supporting workshops or event programming 7.
