Scientist, Lead

Key Role:

Use mathematical and statistical methods to analyze data and make recommendations. Develop data-driven models and stay current on data mining, machine, learning, and artificial intelligence (AI) techniques and software tools. Serve as an expert on the analysis and interpretation of data to support the development of products, processes, or systems. Support and conduct studies related to projects, processes, products, or services. Construct models and adapt existing models to address our stakeholder's problem space. Assist and support the development of an end-to-end machine learning pipeline and manage and support maintenance and lifecycle management throughout the pipeline's lifecycle. Support technical leadership by mentoring junior engineers in the areas of machine learning, data science, and artificial intelligence. Network with other data science professionals to modernize our team's AI and ML methodologies and keep pace with industry best practices.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in a technology
  • Experience in applying complex data analytics
  • Experience with writing technical documentation and test reports
  • Experience with coding languages, including Python, R, or SAS
  • Experience with Data modeling
  • Experience with applying data science solutions in the real world
  • Knowledge of Radio Frequency, Cyber Security, Image/Video Modelling, working with sensors, Natural Language, Math, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, or Behavioral Sciences
  • Knowledge of modeling techniques, including statistical, process, predictive, and physics-based methods
  • Secret clearance
  • Master's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in working with federal government programs
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Possession of excellent analysis, client support, and presentation skills
  • Top Secret Clearance

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $106,200.00 to $242,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
