Adult Education Instructor at South Sioux City

$17.00 per hour. This is a grant-funded position contingent on future funding. No fringe benefits.

The purpose for this teaching position is to provide basic skills, preparation for attaining a GED, and career pathways instruction to adult learners at the Northeast Community College Extended Campus in South Sioux City. This position is responsible for pre-and post-assessments, student intake, maintaining and tracking student hours, and adhering to Federal and State Adult Education regulations. Classes meet Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 5:00-8:00 p.m.

Bachelor's degree preferred.

Adult teaching experience preferred.

Requires excellent communication skills, knowledge of computers and ability to learn and operate computer based learning programs. Must possess the ability to work with non-traditional and culturally diverse learners and be willing to work a flexible schedule.
