Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Able to use basic tool room measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and indicators.
• Perform basic shop math.
• Maintain tool records in a neat and legible manor.
• Set up and operate engine lathers, surface, cylindrical and tool grinders, milling machines, drill presses, EDM and any other tool room equipment.
• Must be able to disassemble, diagnose, repair, grind, time and reassemble all dies, progressive, compound and single operation.
• Troubleshoot production problems on the floor as necessary.
• Fabricate replacement or new parts from samples or blueprints, drive fork lifts, operate hoists, move dies, and train others as required.
